I have been getting a lot of questions about who I am and why I chose this path. The information in the “About Me” section helps answer some of those questions. About Me

Hi, everyone! 

My name is Dr. Jill DePrince-Murphy, DO, MPT or Dr. Jill. I am happily married with four beautiful boys and one four legged daughter! 

So, the most important thing I want you to know about me is that I am a devout follower of Jesus Christ. However, I didn’t always have a close relationship with Jesus. This transformation of my mind and heart began a few years ago when I went through a very dark time in my life. Since then, I have been deeply committed to the Bible’s teachings and most interested in how it relates to health.

I have a history of working in healthcare. My career in this industry started over 20 years ago. I first became a physical therapist.  In this field, I worked primarily in home based pediatric care. After working approximately 4 years as a physical therapist, I went to medical school. Upon completion of residency training, I worked for approximately 7 years as a family medicine doctor in a clinical outpatient office setting. 

It didn’t take long for me to recognize the brokenness of the healthcare system. I felt the healthcare system was not only letting patients downs but also practitioners. The focus seemed to be more on making money and less about the care of and relationships with patients. It was at this time that the internal struggles within me became too much and I knew it was time to leave my position. However, it was also at this time that God started to put questions in my mind about the purpose of conventional medical care and the truth regarding healing the health and lives of patients. 

Now, I want to make sure you understand I am no expert on the teachings of God/Jesus. I am still learning as I go as we all are. Neither am I an expert in the field of conventional medicine or healthcare (or writing, for that matter!). However, I am confident that Jesus has been working through me for many years to marry the both of these worlds together. I am blessed for Him to use me to get His message and His teachings to you so they can impact your health and your lives! I hope to teach you a more complete view of health and healing the way the scriptures intended. 

It is my hope that through my experiences as a medical professional and as a follower of Christ, I can not only bring you closer to God but also teach you how, through faith and studying His Word, you can improve the health of your body and your life! You can be Medicated by Faith! God is blessing you!
